Fairlight Rockpool

Another popular swimming hole is Fairlight Rockpool, located along the Manly to Spit walkway, right next to Fairlight Beach and near Manly Cove. This family-friendly pool features a 30-metre lap pool and a shallow wading area for children.

The rockpool is known for its clear, calm waters, which are kept fresh by the changing tides and regular cleaning by the council. You can access the pool by diving in from the deep end, using metal steps, a gentler set of steps, or simply walking over the rocks to start paddling.

Open since the late 1920s, Fairlight Rockpool is a favourite among locals for their weekly laps. It’s one of the few rockpools that face the harborside and is less crowded than Fairy Bower, making it a great choice when you want to swim in the ocean but avoid the crowds.

The pool area includes a shower on the rocks above and a unisex toilet block with a small changing space. Public facilities are pram-accessible from the path. Located about 1.6 km from the Manly Pacific, it’s a 22-minute walk via The Corso or a quick 4-minute drive.
