The Office

While you might think of the popular UK or US hit TV series, The Office is a nickname for East Esplanade Park in Manly, a charming harbourside spot. Around 2001 two local Manly men (no pun intended) Ross and Will, would meet on this grassy patch after work for sunset drinks. One day, a passer-by jokingly asked, “Is this your office, guys?” The nickname stuck, and since then, this beloved space has been known as “The Office”. By 2008, it gained its own geotag and became a popular spot on social media.

Located near Manly Wharf, with its bustling bars and restaurants, East Esplanade Park also features exercise equipment for activities like body pulls, chest presses, and more. “The Office” is just a 12-minute walk or a quick 3-minute drive from the Manly Pacific hotel.
