Shelly Beach Lookout Walk

From the Manly Surf Club at the south end of Manly beach it’s a short, scenic 15-min walk to Shelly Beach. Follow the Eco Sculpture Walk around Cabbage Tree Bay, which meanders along the coastline, offering fascinating insights into the bay’s marine life, plant species, wildlife, history, and attractions through 11 sculptures placed along the route. This walk is accessible to all ages and abilities, with braille notations accompanying the sculpture plaques.

The walk takes you past the historic Fairy Bower sea pool, a perfect spot for a refreshing dip. Finish the walk by continuing up to the lookout on the headland. Here, you’ll enjoy amazing views of the Northern Beaches. It’s a bit more challenging from Shelly Beach to the lookout as it’s an uneven natural path through the forest so sturdy shoes are recommended for this part. Keep an eye out for water dragons as you explore.

The total walk from the Manly Pacific to the lookout takes approximately 20-25 minutes. It’s a fantastic way to start your day. Enjoy a coffee at the hotel or along the esplanade or visit the Boathouse Shelly Beach for a meal and drink before heading back to Manly Beach.
